While residents can have room service, very few eat in their rooms.  Instead, they enjoy their meals in the company of other residents and visitors either in our unit dining room or the main dining room.

• Registered dietitians duties include:
  • Assess resident’s nutritional needs
  • Develop and implement nutrition programs
  • Evaluate and report resident nutritional status
  • Confer with doctor and other health care professionals to:
    • Coordinate medical and nutritional needs
    • Manage overweight residents
    • Care of the critically ill
    • Care of residents with renal, diabetic and other chronic illnesses
  • Counsel residents and families on nutritional practices
  • Provide food preparation education to:
    • Individuals with special needs
    • Resident families
